Configuring Entourage 2004/2008 for Partners Email (Go back)


Please make sure Entourage is up-to-date by running updates via Entourage menu Help => Check for Updates. Repeat the update process until the software prompts "no updates availalbe".


Setting up the account via Exchange:
  1. Click on Entourage menu Tools => Accounts
  2. Click Exchange => New
  3. E-mail Address: YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
    My account is on an Exchange server: CHECKED
    User ID: YOUR PARTNERS USERNAME
    Domain: PARTNERS
    Password: YOUR PARTNERS PASSWORD
    Click the "Configure account manually" button on the lower-left.
    
  4. Account name: ANY PROFILE NAME
    Name: YOUR NAME
    E-mail address: YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
    Account ID: YOUR PARTNERS USERNAME
    Domain: PARTNERS
    Password: YOUR PARTNERS PASSWORD
    Save password in my Mac OS keychain: Check only if you understand Keychains and want to use it.
    Exchange server: HTTPS://PHSEXCHWEB.PARTNERS.ORG
    This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL): CHECKED
    Click Advanced tab.
    
  5. Public folders server: HTTPS://PHSEXCHWEB.PARTNERS.ORG/PUBLIC/
    This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL): CHECKED
    LDAP server: LDAP.PARTNERS.ORG
    This server requires me to log on: CHECKED
    This LDAP server requires a secure connection (SSL): CHECKED
    Search base: CN=USERS, DC=PARTNERS, DC=ORG
    Click OK.
    

    Note: LDAP look ups will only work when you are inside the Partners firewall and will not work when you are at home or on the road

  6. Your Partners' email/calendar/contacts/folders should show up here.

  7. Email addresses from the phone directory should show up as you type a person's name.
