Mail forwarding & leaving MGH or BWH
Due to health information privacy concerns, Partners cannot forward mail from your Partners Microsoft Exchange email account to another email account outside of Partners. Instead, you can create an "out of office" message in your Partners Microsoft Exchange email account indicating that you are no longer with Partners (MGH, BWH) and that the sender should re-mail the correspondence to the email address you specify.
The employee termination process, through the Partners Peoplesoft HR system, automatically disables user account privileges. Normal de-activation of the Partners Microsoft Exchange email account occurs within two weeks of termination. If you have a need to extend your "out of office" auto reply message which indicates your new email address, beyond this two week timeframe, we can manually extend the "out of office message" for 120 days. To request an extension of the out of office message that you have configured in your Outlook account, please complete this MS Word document and send to your designated HR contact as listed.
Outlook Out Of Office Assistant and Partners Email
By default, the Outlook Out of Office Assistant, when activated, only sends OO messages to users emailing you from within Partners and its affiliates.
